The Brief

Founder of AD5 Fitness, Alex Dillon, approached me to help him set up an online presence and establish his company as a serious player in the local personal training market.

With several years experience as a first team scout for Hibernian Football Club, Alex wanted to take the knowledge he gained in the sports world and use it to power his passion.

Alex wanted the website to showcase his skills and expertise and help add credibility to his long-term vision of growing his already successful career.

After initial meetings we came to the realisation that the current AD5 Fitness brand needed an update to bring it in line with competitors and make it a more attractive offering for potential clients. Thus, the AD5 Fitness logo was born. The new logo conveys physical strength, hard work and stands as a serious contender in the crowded PT market.

From brand and logo design, to wireframes. I created a selection of wireframe designs in Illustrator to convey content hierarchy, layout and basic functionality. These wireframes were then presented to Alex for a round of feedback and approval.

Following approval of the wireframe designs, I then moved to add colour, brand elements, photography and depth to really bring the site to life. After another round of feedback and approval, I then moved on to the build phase, using Wordpress as a back-end system to support content and media management in PHP.

The website's front-end framework uses mixture of HTML5, SASS and jQuery to produce a stunning experience across all devices.
